An Interdean spokesperson responds. The average net monthly pay in Croatia rose by three per cent during the last three months of 2014, going up to HRK 5,442. Apart from top management, whose pay is 109 per cent above average, the best paid jobs were in telecommunications, 45 per cent above average, and marketing, advertising and public relations, 30 per cent above average. Workers in possession of a college degree had a 52 per cent higher pay than those who left education after high school. It was also revealed that people who were employed in foreign private companies had a 19 per cent higher pay than average, and those employed in state owned companies were 3 per cent above. Elsewhere, companies with more than 1,000 employees generally offered staff a pay packet that is 10 per cent above what you could expect from smaller organisations.
