Harborough Innovation Centre has announced that for the first time it is now full, with 50 businesses spread across the centre’s 57 offices

A business centre in Harborough is helping to boost the local community, and it’s utilising virtual office methods to help things run better. A spokesperson from W1 Office responds to the story.

Harborough Innovation Centre has announced that for the first time it is now full, with 50 businesses spread across the centre’s 57 offices. The £4.3million building was opened in 2011 in order to create workspace for up and coming businesses, and also to offer support to tenants.

Harborough District Council owns the property and it’s managed by Oxford Innovation, which has 21 other centres across the country. On average, a business will spend two to five years at the centre before moving on to larger premises. A business can hold up to 15 staff members, and around 212 people are currently employed at the centre.

The centre also uses different virtual office services to help businesses, with phone calls and messages being taken. “For us to now be full is really exciting,” claimed the centre’s business support director Rachel Panther. “It is a flagship centre for Oxford innovation and we are proud of it and our customers here, especially when they grow and succeed.”

Mick Judge, senior centre manager, said: “For the businesses who want to move in, we have a waiting list or we offer them the use of our shared office space, which can hold up to eight people. Alternatively, we have our virtual office services, where we take phone calls and messages for the businesses, and they can register their business at the centre.”

W1 Office, a leading provider of virtual office solutions, takes a keen interest in reports such as this. A spokesperson provided this statement: “The Harborough Innovation Centre is a fantastic idea and allows smaller local businesses to flourish. In just a few short years all of the office space has been taken which goes to show how popular it is.
“One of the ways the centre proves so beneficial to local businesses is through virtual office methods, and smaller companies can have their phone calls and messages taken for them. This is a huge boost as it means resources can then be allocated elsewhere. At W1 Office we specialise in offering businesses virtual office solutions that can greatly benefit and improve them, through telephone answering, mail forwarding and much more.”

W1 Office endeavours to provide affordable virtual office solutions to businesses, start-ups and homeworkers across the globe. Their virtual office services allow individuals and companies to use business credentials in London, enabling their organisations to grow.
