UK Channel to Benefit from Broader Access to Pioneering Connected Health Solutions

Basingstoke, UK 24th February, 2015 – Exertis, a leading B2B and retail distributor, is pleased to announce it has agreed a contract with iHealth, to distribute the company’s innovative range of connected health products in the UK. The partnership, effective immediately, will see Exertis distribute the full iHealth range including blood pressure monitors, wireless scales, fitness devices and glucometers.

Founded as part of the Andon Health Group in California, US in 2009 and launched in Europe in 2013, iHealth is a leader in the high-growth connected health market with over 50% market share. The company’s vision is to connect patients directly to their personal health and help move healthcare from a primarily curative service to a preventative one.

To deliver on this aim, iHealth has pioneered the market with a number of industry firsts. In 2011, iHealth launched the first mobile-app enabled blood pressure device. In 2012, it launched the first wireless blood pressure monitor and in 2013, the first wireless blood glucose monitor. The company prides itself on innovation, helping people lead healthier lives and manage conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. iHealth’s devices measure, track and share various health indicators, including: blood glucose, blood pressure, heart rate, weight, body fat, lean body mass, activity, sleep efficiency and oxygen saturation. Joe Officer, Head of Accessories for Exertis, comments: “Health services globally are struggling with the burden of growing/aging populations and continue to put more emphasis onto patients directly to monitor their own well-being. And more generally, consumers themselves want to use their increasing number of connected devices to proactively stay in tune with their bodies. The potential for iHealth in the UK is vast.”

Stéphane Kerrien, European Sales Director, iHealth, comments: “Our partnership with Exertis is a strategic decision to help us continue our growth plans for the UK market. Especially as we increase our footprint in the major retail, specialist and online channels, Exertis’ breadth of relationships and logistical strength will be invaluable.”
