The Office Coffee Company has further demonstrated its commitment to sustainability with its fourth annual certification from Planet First.

The Planet Mark is awarded by Planet First in partnership with the Eden Project. The certification recognises businesses that have measured, are actively reducing their carbon footprint, and which have a long-term strategy to become a sustainable company.

In 2014 the Office Coffee Company achieved a 38% reduction per £ turnover, compared to 2013.

This has been achieved through a number of initiatives, including:
• Using sustainable suppliers, including office energy from Good Energy (100% renewable energy)
• For online sales, switching to DPD parcel delivery services, who reduce their carbon footprint through their Total Zero programme
• Changing product packaging to 80% recycled content, all of which is 100% recyclable

The Office Coffee Company also offer a free carbon assessment for all customers – highlighting the environmental benefits of switching to Cool Earth Coffee. In 2014 customers of the Office Coffee Company saved more than 24,000 trees and 26,000 tonnes of CO2, by drinking 178,000 cups of sustainably sourced coffee from Cool Earth.
