Time-strapped, budget conscious travellers now have a choice of 16 locations including 7 major train stations and airports to pick up Euros and US Dollars at discounted rates through the Click & Collect service from leading travel money provider ICE – International Currency Exchange.

Promising their best rate on the day of collection, the ICE Click & Collect service simply requires customers to print off a voucher from the ICE website or show the voucher on their phone to access rates that often beat quoted online rates. For example on 09/03/15, ICE at Waterloo was offering 1.3670 Euros with Click & Collect, for home delivery the rate was 1.3590

Unlike competitor branch collection services for foreign exchange, there is no need for any upfront payment to secure the rate or requirement to provide credit or debit card details online.

Rates on the Click & Collect voucher are indicative rather than fixed, and as such rate may fluctuate in line with market movements and local competition on a daily basis.

Carol Winch, aged 71 from Sevenoaks in Kent, discovered ICE’s Click & Collect service, while using a comparison website to find the best value for money. Carol says “Although I could have used a currency provider based locally, the rate is just not as competitive as ICE using the Click & Collect service. I just remember to print off the voucher with the preferential rate on a day I am going into London, then on my way through Waterloo station, I pick up my currency using the voucher. This way I get a better exchange rate than if I had either bought my holiday money locally or walked-up to the ICE counter on the day. I also like the fact there’s no up-front payment.

Clapham resident David Reeson, a part-time Fashion Lecturer at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, uses the ICE Click & Collect service to buy Euros and US Dollars for when he travels to his house in Cognac, France, and for business trips to New York with his students.

David says: “The ICE Click & Collect service is really convenient, as I travel through Waterloo quite regularly, and it’s also incredibly competitive. I often find the rate is better than anything I could find online and all I have to do is just remember to print off a voucher from or show the voucher on my smartphone to get the most competitive rate they can offer me on the day. When I am going to Cognac, I often travel entirely by train so picking up my money on the way is just one less thing I have to think about organising. I’m a busy person, but I also like a good deal – the ICE Click & Collect service satisfies both demands for me.”

Koko Sarkari, COO of ICE said: “Leaving travel money to the last minute doesn’t mean getting a poor deal if you’re a customer of ICE. The beauty of Click & Collect is the ease with which customers can take advantage of the offer with no up-front payments or commitment to buy, they can simply turn up at the desk, show their voucher and walk away knowing they have got a great rate of exchange.”
