A spokesperson for the company commented on the news, saying “This is a clear-cut example of how CCTV can be beneficial to small businesses everywhere. Small businesses such as this are often at the most risk from opportunist thieves, thinking that the surveillance systems in place won’t be anywhere near as advanced or secure as a high street shop or supermarket. It’s incredibly important that business owners take the necessary precautions to protect their business and staff. In this case the responsible owners have even managed to protect the general public – their commercial CCTV system managed to get somebody as dangerous as Woodger off the streets, and as a result society as a whole is much better off.” AlertSystems manage and maintain thousands of commercial security installations throughout the UK and are specialists in providing business security solutions.
