Five Reasons to Nominate a Future Leader Wednesday 8 April 2015 PDF Print the Award seeks to showcase the leadership talent of women, and to provide a platform for women to demonstrate their leadership qualities Leap into action this spring and nominate a Future Leader for the sixth annual Women in the City Future Leaders Award, sponsored by Cap Gemini, the ICAEW, and HSBC. The prestigious Award scheme recently opened for nominations and aims to identify high potential women at the transition between management and leadership. Open to women working in any sector, function or role within the UK for organisations (private, public or third sector) employing 250 or more people, the Award seeks to showcase the leadership talent of women, and to provide a platform for women to demonstrate their leadership qualities. Nominations are now sought for women who, at a relatively young age, are making a contribution beyond their functional, technical or specialist area. The top five reasons to nominate a Future Leader are :- 1. Recognise and reward a valuable employee and the contribution she makes to the overall success of the business or organisation 2. Boost careers by identifying high potential within your management team 3. Raise awareness of her work to external audiences including stakeholders, clients and the media 4. Shine the spotlight of attention on her employer’s brand 5. Push the gender diversity and inclusion agenda up a notch. Gwen Rhys, CEO of Networking Culture Ltd and founder of Women in the City, added; “Leadership roles and professional development are an important part of any successful career. Quite often the development, reward and recognition side of becoming a great leader is taken for granted or an assumption is made that it will just happen. Our Award gives employers and nominees an opportunity to focus on these key parts of the journey towards becoming an effective leader. “There is a great deal of leadership talent in the UK across multiple business sectors, so if you know of exceptional women who deserve this award – nominate them now.” Nominations for the Women in the City Future Leaders Award 2015 opened on Wednesday 1st April 2015 and application forms will be sent to all nominated women. Application forms need to be completed and returned by 22nd May 2015. A maximum of 10 candidates will be selected to be interviewed by the Judging Panel. - Ends - For media enquiries please contact: Harriet Subramanian Flourish PR Ltd Tel: 01628 400679 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org This press release was distributed by ResponseSource Press Release Wire on behalf of Flourish PR in the following categories: Women's Interest & Beauty, Business & Finance, Public Sector, Third Sector & Legal, for more information visit http://pressreleasewire.responsesource.com/about.
