We are delighted our supporters can now benefit from the convenience of The Goodwill Partnership to make a solicitor-written Will

London, 19th May 2015: The Goodwill Partnership is proud to announce a partnership with Arthritis Care, the UK’s largest charity working with and for all people who have arthritis.

The partnership, which starts immediately, means that Arthritis Care can now offer home-visit, solicitor-written wills to its supporters and volunteers. The goal is to encourage bequests and legacy donations to help fund the charity’s wide range of services and activities.

Arthritis Care is dedicated to helping the UK’s 10 million people with arthritis including 25,000 children and young people. The charity’s services include vital information provision, a dedicated helpline for emotional and practical support and face-to-face support sessions to reduce pain and increase independence.

Legacy donations will help the charity reach more of the growing number of people with arthritis and provide dedicated support from the point of diagnosis, to help when their pain is at its worst, to provide a friendly voice to talk to and reduce the isolation that so many people with arthritis experience, particularly in later life.

Mark Jackson, Director of The Goodwill Partnership, says: “Gifts in Wills make up over half of Arthritis Care’s income and are a vital source of its funding. By partnering with them we hope to raise even more money via bequests and in the process provide additional, much-needed funds for this outstanding charity.”

Di Gornall, Director of Fundraising and Development at Arthritis Care, says: “Gifts in Wills are a vital source of funding that enable Arthritis Care to continue to support the growing number of people often living in constant pain due to their arthritis. We are delighted our supporters can now benefit from the convenience of The Goodwill Partnership to make a solicitor-written Will.”

This latest partnership with Arthritis Care is the most recent of a number of alliances created by The Goodwill Partnership. These include The National Autistic Society, Motability, Action for Children, as well as Macmillan Cancer Support who in 2013 announced record results for legacy will-writing as a result of its partnership.
