Jack Black’s Mechanical Bull Ride Proves Practice Makes Perfect, says Funday Entertainment Monday 8 June 2015 PDF Print What we saw on Ellen’s show was a prime example of why rodeo bulls are still the perfect party piece The reaction comes following a recent appearance by Hollywood actor and comedian Jack Black on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, who after claiming to have mastered riding rodeo bulls was put to the test by the host live on television. During the filming of his new film, The D Train, Black told DeGeneres that he was required to learn how to ride a mechanical bull for his lead role – the head of a high school reunion committee. After displaying some of his typical cockiness, he was put to the test live on air, much to his surprise. To up the ante even further, DeGeneres informed the audience that for every five seconds he stayed on the bull, she would donate $1,000 to her chosen charity, Doctors Without Borders, to help the victims of the Nepal Earthquake. The challenge was set to last 45 seconds, and to his credit Black lasted for almost the entirety, raising $8000 for the charity in the process. It was greeted with a rapturous reception from both the audience and host alike, with viewers at home also engaging on social media about the event. A spokesperson for Funday Entertainment, one of Britain’s biggest party equipment hirers, has released a statement following the event, stating: “What we saw on Ellen’s show was a prime example of why rodeo bulls are still the perfect party piece. They are fun, and not only for the person riding it – as you could see by the audience, they were getting a huge level of enjoyment out of Jack Black’s impressive attempt at defeating it." “It just shows that with a bit of practice, not even the toughest rodeo bulls are unconquerable, but Jack has certainly set the bar pretty high!” Funday Entertainment Ltd was founded in 2000, and has now developed into a company with over 200 different activities in stock for hire. They are now one of the largest hirers of fun equipment – with items that range from rodeo bulls and bouncy castles to bungee runs and sumo suits – in the UK and Europe. They have established themselves through a strong commitment to customer service and innovative ideas to ensure success within the industry.
