I really love dogs Park Sun-young, better known by her stage name Luna, is a well-known pop star in South Korea. Despite her success on stage she has revealed that her dream job involves her love of her canine friends. During an interview with DJ Park Kyung Rim on May 26th, the singer was asked how far she intended to take her recent transformation, and what challenges she was planning to undertake next. Her response, amusingly, was “I've always wanted to be a pet food stylist. I really love dogs and animals in general. In my free time I learn how to train [animals] and even make dog treats.” The interview continued with DJ Park telling Luna that she would be greeted as a pet food stylist during their next interview after she had learned a bit more about the profession. While a foreign notion in the UK, pet cafés are a common sight in East Asia, where customers can eat meals with certain café-owned pets. Direct Pet Foods, a UK wholesaler of nutritional pet food products, takes a keen interest in news stories such as this. A spokesperson for the company commented on the news, saying: “It’s fascinating news that someone as used to the limelight as Luna has a dream of becoming a pet food stylist. We fully support her on this venture and are curious as to the dishes she dreams up. “While there may not be a huge market for pet food stylists in the UK at present, who knows how this will change and evolve over time. If pet food styling is something you’d like to try your hand at, a good place to start is at home, with highly nutritious food for your pet. If you find that you enjoy styling your pet’s food before you serve it, perhaps there is money to be made in that area in the UK after all.” Direct Pet foods is a family run wholesaler of pet foods and accessories based in Essex.
