Top gospel artistes and special guests lined-up to celebrate this very momentous occasion, including Lurine Cato, Muyiwa, The London Community Gospel Choir, as well as comedienne Angie La Mar with an inspirational keynote address from Bishop John Francis from Ruach City Church. The event sold out within weeks, and this glittering night was one of joy, thanksgiving, praise as well as looking back at the difference the Pentecostal Credit Union has made and continues to make to this day. The Credit Union formally came into being in 1980, originally operating from a tiny room in Balham – 35 years later the Pentecostal Credit Union (PCU) is now one of the 10 largest Credit Unions in the UK, with over 1,500 members and members’ funds running at over £7 million. Over the last 35 years The Pentecostal Credit Union, through the support, determination, and commitment from both the board and members has grown and flourished – driven by a strong set of religious beliefs and values, reflected and practiced through the Credit Union movement. Since 1980 the Pentecostal Credit Union has provided an ethical and trustworthy alternative to High Street financial organisations. Membership is open to any individual, family member, church group or business that practices the Pentecostal faith.
