They looked at the demand and price trends in two categories: robot vacuum cleaners and robot lawn mowers. Demand - 1 in 10 consumers browsing vacuum cleaners is interested in a robotic model. - 1 in 6 shoppers looking to buy a lawn mower will consider a robotic device. Consumer interest in robot vacuum cleaners now makes up 10% of the entire demand in the category, having more than doubled in the last 5 years. Robot lawn mowers are even more popular, with an increase of 1671%, 8 times more popular than 5 years ago. Price - On average, a robot vacuum cleaner costs GBP 79.96 more than a conventional machine. - Robotic lawn mowers cost on average GBP 1110.25 more than a non-automated model.
