Inclusive employers and recruiters now have just a week left to share their stories on engaging with disabled talent by entering the Recruitment Industry Disability (RIDI) Awards.

Now in their second year, the awards celebrate progress and recognise the success of organisations that are making headway in increasing the inclusion of disabled professionals.

Last year the awards attracted more than 50 applications across categories including Innovation in Assessment, Inclusive Partnerships, Employers’ Choice and Overall Candidate Experience. Previous winners included Sky Blue Carillon, CEB/SHL, E:ON, the BBC, Sainsbury’s and Eversheds in partnership with Guidant Group, as well as many smaller employers and recruiters.

Commenting on the impending deadline, Kate Headley, director of consulting at the Clear Company and spokesperson for the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative said:

“The simple fact that up to 85% of disabled jobseekers report challenges during the recruitment process highlights that organisations are currently shutting the door on a vast array of talent. But even small steps are dramatically impacting the business landscape and increasing numbers of disabled jobseekers are being on-boarded as a result every month.

“Are you one of the organisations helping to make this happen? If your business is actively working to ensure the inclusion of disabled talent, get in touch! You have just one week left to enter the RIDI Awards and ensure that your story is heard so that you can inspire other enterprises like yours to play their part in positively impacting disabled jobseekers’ prospects.”

Submissions close on the 31st July 2015 and the awards are free to enter and attend.
