The event will bring together:
- Carly Hobbs – LFW make-up artist, celebrity tanner, beauty editor and journalist
- Top Dermatologist Dr Emma Wedgeworth for The British Skin Foundation
- A professional Skin Therapist from Careway Pharmacies
- Digital Skin Analysis for those attending
- A specially and exclusively designed menu, where each ingredients has amazing skin boosting properties.

The evening is part of Careway’s ‘Skin deep’ campaign, designed to highlight the importance of skin health, skin care, checking your skin. With skin ailments on the rise it’s time to stop going to the beauty counter for your skin and go to have a real consultation that actual tells you what your skin needs from the inside out with a professionally trained skin technician.

The event itself is taking place at Kalmak Chemist, 9 Upper Ground, London SE1 9LP where an expert pharmacist will be on hand to treat you to a skin analysis test on both your face and an area of your body (e.g. arm or leg). This is a 2 minute walk from Southwark Tube station.

The skin analyser will allow you to learn more about your skin than ever before. The machine uses a series of mini tests (all completely unobtrusive and pain free of course!) on the skin to give you a detailed knowledge of your skin type. The skin analyser looks at:

• Hydration
• pH
• Elasticity
• Keratin
• Sebum
• Pores

The results determines how healthy your skin is based on these factors, as well as helping give an indication of your skin’s true age. With a new anti-aging product coming out almost every week, are we missing the real tricks to skin aging? We will be able to determine your skins true age and what its lacking. With each mini test you will receive a print out of the scientific results which detail your skin type and actions you can take to alter the results to achieve healthier skin.

Using the results from the skin analysis, you will also be offered a one-to-one consultation with the professional pharmacist, on how to combat any issues which the tests reveals (e.g. oily or dehydrated skin, incorrect pH levels etc), ask questions, get top tips on looking after you skin, what products to use and a suggested beauty regime, advice on checking your skin and how to keep it healthy.

Carly Hobbs will also be giving a short talk on why when it comes to beauty, it’s what lies beneath the make-up (etc) which is more important for healthy skin, and why she believes you should consult a pharmacist, rather than a beauty counter for advice, as well as sharing her years of experiences of dealing with celebrity skin and beauty.

Dr Emma Wedgeworth, Consultant Dermatologist & British Skin Foundation Spokesperson, will also give a talk on the importance of skin health and care in general – for both medicated and non-medicated skin types and both Carly and Emma will be around for you to chat to throughout the evening and ask questions.

We will also be serving up nutritious health canapés and drinks on the night – all which are proven to be good for your skin’s health and complexion with a menu designed by superfood experts.

If you could let me, or one of the Careway team know if you would like to attend at: or by calling 0121 456 5600 please, that would be great so we can send you more details.
