Redefining the Business Portrait Wednesday 12 August 2015 PDF Print The Print Foundry has worked with leading photographer Emma Duggan to redefine the classic business portrait. Sussex based photographer, Emma Duggan, was commissioned to create a series of classic portrait images of the Print Foundry team with a mysterious and fun edge. MD and founder Renato Tavares wanted to connect further with photographers, artists and galleries that he is working with on a day-to-day basis highlighting The Print Foundry's integration into the fine art market. Renato has known and worked with Emma on several projects and respected her style and talent. Renato saw a style of actor shots that Emma created for Nordicana and wanted something similar for his team. In order to capture the essence of the business and bring the team's personalities to life Emma interviewed each person and worked along side them for a full day to create the ideas that she subsequently brought to life. Emma Duggan is recognised for showcasing the personalities of her clients through photography. She has won numerous prestigious awards, including a Fellowship by the British Institute of Professional Photography, as well as being in the top 300 in the world for the National Portrait Gallery Photographic Portrait Prize three times. Renato comments, ‘I wanted to show the importance of the people around you and how a family atmosphere can bring a company together. This is really important for a small business and something that is very important to me. I also wanted to demonstrate the partnership between a brilliant artist, photographer and printer and how working together can really help to bring a print to life.’ The Print Foundry is a leading fine art printing, wall art and framing expert. They have worked with Emma for years and will be showcasing the pieces at their new offices in Croydon in early September. About The Print Foundry Renato Tavares initially established the wall art printing business in 2008, working with retail clients such as John Lewis. The London-based company was rebranded as the Print Foundry in 2012, specialising in fine art printing, framing and mounting for professional photographers, artists & galleries.
