London, Monday October 26 2015: Kaboom Consulting, ( London’s top new boutique business consulting firm, announced the first in what is to be a twice-monthly series of “Live Speedfunding” events, hosted at Library, the trendy new members’ only club in Covent Garden.

The first event takes place on Thursday October 29 at 7.30 PM at The Library Club, ( 112 St Martin’s Lane, London WC2N 4BD.

The events will feature Kaboom Consulting’s own mix of live crowd-funding and instantaneous investment matchmaking. Hosted by Jane Houghton, former Director of Engagement for the British Venture Capital Association, the chosen companies will have 5-10 minutes each to convince the judges and crowd, composed of London’s top young professionals and members of the financial community as well as representatives from incubators, such as the Open Data Institute and London City Incubator, why their ideas, inventions and operations are deserving of funding for growth and expansion.

Should the judges agree, they will proceed to further discussions in a cordoned-off top-floor boardroom, after which they will be, through exchange of e-mail and telephone contacts, connected with interested members of the audience.

The first event will feature pitches from mid-sized tech start-ups. “I’m impressed by the ethos of Kaboom Consulting and that it is set up to become a one stop shop for entrepreneurs to gain funding and guidance,” said Neil Westwood. “Small businesses that employ apprentices are the lifeblood of the economy and investment allows firms to scale up and take on employees.”

Patrick van der Vorst adds, “The live speed crowd-funding event sounds fascinating and I wish all the entrepreneurs the very best of luck. The point for entrepreneurs to remember is that it is better to have 60 percent of 1,000 than 100 percent of 200.”

To complement the main program, Library will give all guests free customized Kaboom! Cocktails. Second-round drinks will also be on-the-house, so to speak, provided by Cake, which allows for customers to electronically split bills and open and pay out tabs at their favourite venues through its on-line application. DJ David Beiger will keep the music spinning before, during and after the main program, when he will be joined by live bands and performers from Kaboom’s ancillary talent agency, Kaboom Talent. Also, Library will be raffling off free memberships and offering all guests discounted Kaboom! Memberships. Finally, VIP Concierge service Concierge Circle will give away a £500 VIP make-over by London’s top stylists and designers.
