It’s important to us to help bring on the next generation of engineers

HPS Product Recovery Solutions is Hiring Trainees and Apprentices.

Nottingham-based engineering company HPS Product Recovery Solutions is actively recruiting trainees and apprentices to work in its UK head office. The firm, which has ambitious strategic growth plans, is looking for trainees in Projects, Production and Mechanical Engineering.

Many companies in the UK’s engineering sector are struggling to find people with the right skills. The management team at HPS believes that as well as recruiting qualified and experienced staff, it is also important to invest in developing people. These can be people just starting out on their career, or those looking to change occupations.

The new HPS trainees will gain a range of valuable skills. As well as learning how to use specialist engineering software and helping to design new solutions, they'll also obtain ‘hands-on’ experience, such as assembling products and testing systems. In addition, the company will support them in achieving an appropriate formal qualification. A major bonus is that when they’ve successfully completed their training programmes, HPS will appoint the newly qualified apprentices to a suitable role within the company.

Gilbert Murphy, CEO of HPS said, “It’s important to us to help bring on the next generation of engineers. For the right candidates, we believe our training programmes provide a solid foundation for a rewarding career in engineering. As well as practical training, we provide mentoring, personal development and of course support for a formal qualification”.

HPS is the market leader in a niche technology that recovers liquid in pipelines, rather than letting it go to waste. The technique, called Pigging, is used in a wide variety of industries. These range from food, soft drinks and alcoholic beverage manufacture to homecare products, paint, cosmetics and pet food.

Whatever industry its customers operate in, HPS delivers quality hygienic pigging systems and liquid transfer solutions that massively improve yields, productivity and efficiency. It also delivers great customer service and support.

One of the keys to the company’s success is their highly innovative, patented ‘Pig’. Made from specialist, flexible food-grade materials, HPS pipeline pigs recover up to 99.5% of product: providing outstanding performance and a benchmark of the industry.

It’s exciting times for HPS. As well as the UK, the company has an established base of customers throughout the world. It continues to grow and is actively expanding its business in the US, Australasia and the Far East.

It’s a company that is genuinely proud of its products, its people and its reputation.
