Crypta Labs, a UK-based award winning mobile security company, which is developing a Quantum (True) Random Number Generator on a mobile device, is honoured to be named by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Matter in its list of the Top 5 UK Startups That Are Revolutionising Enterprise Tech.

Crypta Labs’ CEO Joe HQ Luong said, “We are thrilled and delighted that HPE, in its first months’ existence, has recognised Crypta Labs’ innovative offering and named us in their Top 5 firms to revolutionise enterprise tech. We were particularly grateful for the HPE’s kind words describing us as the ‘Symantec of the quantum world’. He added, “Crypta Labs is building a Quantum Random Number Generator that will help safeguard enterprise devices from cyber intrusion on our mobiles, tablets, and other Internet of Things. We are currently raising finance and awareness for our security solutions and this will undoubtedly help us in our efforts”.

Building on what has been an exceptional month for Crypta Labs, the company recently appointed Brigadier General Paul H. McGillicuddy (USAF, Ret.) to their Advisory Board. Brigadier General McGillicuddy brings over 30 years of U.S. military experience to the team, and will be guiding the team’s strategic approach to building their technology.

Brigadier General McGillicuddy said of his appointment to Crypta Labs’ Advisory Board, “It is a pleasure to be joining the Advisory Board of such an innovative technology company on the cutting edge of quantum science.” Adding that he looked forward to “advising Crypta Labs as they build a truly unique product to solve the urgent problem of securing the Internet of Things”.

Crypta Labs is a mobile security startup which is developing a Quantum Random Number Generator; this is a true random number reached using the quantum property of light. Random numbers are used to seed encryption. Crypta Labs is the only company in the world, that they know of, that is commercialising the QRNG for use on a mobile device.

The company’s vision is to have their technology installed on all mobile devices including mobile phones, tablets, smart-watches, Internet of Things devices and any mobile products. This will be achieved through an API library for mobile apps and an integrated security chip for devices.
