National Geographic Traveller (UK) has confirmed the finalists of its fifth annual Photography Competition 2016, in partnership with CEWE PHOTOBOOK. The grand-prize winner will be announced at the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show on 13 February.

As a leader in breathtaking, you-are-there photography, National Geographic Traveller launched its annual Photography Competition in 2011. This year’s competition aims to find the best talent and send winners on a photographic commission to destinations including Tanzania, Vietnam, Abu Dhabi, Italy and Iceland.

UK photographers submitted their entries in one of seven categories: Action, Nature, People, Urban, Mobile, Video and Portfolio. Selected entrants will be included in a global press and media campaign and have their work exhibited at London’s theprintspace from 3-15 March 2016, ensuring major exposure to the creative industry.

The winners will be announced at the Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show at London’s Excel from 1-2pm on 13 February.

The independent judging panel consists of Alastair Jolly, European manager for SmugMug; Steve Davey, freelance travel photographer/writer; Carol Enquist, senior photo editor, National Geographic Traveler (US); and Swhype Media co-founder Andy Greenhouse. Chris Hudson, National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s art editor, decided the shortlist and will have the final decision on the winner.
