Following in joint second place is OMD and PHD with 28 nominations apiece. In terms of campaigns, ‘100% Kosher Head & Shoulders’ (MediaCom Israel for Procter & Gamble’s Head & Shoulders), ‘Sunday Grannies’ (UM Romania for Vodafone) and ‘Lucy the Robot’ (by independent agency Atomic 212 in Australia for Double Robotics) lead the shortlist with five nominations each. Other independent agencies present on the prestigious shortlist include companies such as Chaos Media, Mediaplus and Madison Media. The top five markets on the shortlist include the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and India closely followed by Romania with an impressive representation in nine categories. Four new categories were introduced in this year’s awards. These include the D’Atlas Brand Purpose Award in partnership with Discovery Communications, Best Campaign for Commerce, The Best Insight Award and Best Not-For-Profit Campaign. The winners will be decided by the Festival of Media Global Awards final jury meeting in Rome.
