Wallwork Group return to Advanced Engineering Stan

Aerospace majors, winning formula one teams, medical appliance manufacturers and others at the frontiers of engineering development depend on surface engineering specialists, the Wallwork Group, for heat treatment, hard coatings and vacuum brazing. Returning to Advanced Engineering at the NEC in November on Stand P51 Hall 3, the company will be highlighting technology for the manufacture of complex components and improving the surface characteristics of manufactured parts.

“We are problem solvers, improving characteristics such as hardness and friction resistance to give critical components extended service life, less wear and greater performance,” asserts CEO Peter Carpenter. “In this way we help our clients meet their goals for higher productivity, greater reliability under extreme conditions and lower life-time cost of operation,” he added.

The company provides national coverage from strategically located sites in Manchester, Birmingham and Cambridge. With a highly skilled and stable workforce, with many years’ technical experience, Wallwork services encompass a wide range of heat treatments, hard coatings and vacuum brazing. Substantial investment in capacity enables the company to economically process components of different sizes and volumes, economically and effectively.

Wallwork also work closely with major manufacturers and leading universities to develop new surface engineering processes and has extensive R&D facilities for full evaluation. Once developed, Wallwork’s large workshop capacity can scale-up process volume, whether the item is a small light weight pressing or a casting of several tonnes.

All processes are backed by detailed quality assurance procedures. Since the last Advanced engineering exhibition the company has extended the scope of its Nadcap approvals, bringing both Cambridge and Manchester vacuum brazing workshops into the scheme. In addition, the company has multiple process specific approvals from aerospace primes such as Airbus, BAe Systems, Rolls Royce, Moog and more.
