Maidenhead, UK – Sword Active Risk has been invited to speak at the Risk and Resilience Mining Solutions event, being held November 14 – 16, at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier, Vancouver, Canada. Sword Active Risk Principal Risk Consultant, Mike Balut will be presenting a thought leadership paper on the benefits of a holistic approach to risk management. The conference is chaired by Harvey McLeod of Klohn Crippen Berger with keynote from Larry Moore of FM Global. The conference provides an opportunity for professionals working in and with the mining industry to explore risk, tolerance, mitigation approaches, and the robustness and resilience of practices and procedures, operational methods and mine closure measures and plans.

•Improving cash flow by harnessing opportunities and mitigating threats

•Identifying risks earlier using a bottom-up approach
•Applying the appropriate rigor to risk processes
•And how this end-to-end holistic approach to risk management encompasses the entire organization.
