the appointment is very much about further improving Zen’s customer service and collaboration

Zen Internet has appointed Graham Herniman as head of sales in the company’s Corporate & Mid-Market division. The appointment will further strengthen Zen’s focus on year-on-year growth in the sector.

Graham brings with him 30 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, primarily in the fields of sales and sales management. He joins from Virgin Media Business, but also has prior experience with BT (over 20 years), Thus and Airwave Solutions.

Martin O’Donnell, managing director of Zen’s Corporate and Mid-Market division, says the appointment is very much about further improving Zen’s customer service and collaboration. “It’s about enhancing the capability within our customer-facing organisation,” he explains, adding that “Graham brings significant management experience in the networks and IT sectors. His expertise will enable us to develop deeper and better relationships with our customers.”

Graham’s work within Zen will include a strong focus on three key business areas: complex networking, voice and cloud. “We are looking at providing a much wider range of services.” Graham adds, “We can scale up, and following our recent network rollout – we will have over 400 exchanges by January - this is a really good time for it.”

Explaining his decision to join Zen, Graham stated that he shared many of the same values as the company. Treating people with fairness and respect were key considerations and, as he puts it, “Everyone says these things, but Zen truly believes it”, summarising that Zen offers “Great customer service. Great values. Great potential”.
