> Innovation and funding for start-ups
- Innovation will take center stage at the FIC 2017 with the Innovative SME Award (40 candidates) sponsored by Airbus Defence and Space - an area dedicated to demonstrations of innovative solutions.
- 10 selected SMEs will meet the most influential investors in the cybersecurity industry.
- An innovation area will bring 30 innovative start-ups and SMEs from the sector together at the heart of the event.

> Skill shortage
- The FIC challenge, organized in partnership with ACISSI and engineering school EPITA and with the sponsorship of the Réseau Cyberdéfense de la Réserve Citoyenne (Cyberdefense Network for Military Reserve) will allow participants to spot new talents and reward professionals in the fields of forensics and defensive cyberwarfare. Registration remains open until 6 January, 2017.
- A Career Corner where those with specialized skills in the field can meet with representatives from recruitment firms.
- A research area will bring 4 state-of-the-art research centers and a laboratory (CNRS, INRIA, CEA, IMT) together to enable them to present their theses.

In early 2017, the European Commission will propose a blueprint for a coordination plan in the event of large-scale cyberattacks with the participation of the ENISA, CERTs and EC3 (Europol). The presence of Steven Wilson, Director of the European Cybercrime Center (EC3), at the FIC 2017 will draw further media attention to the event.

About the International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC)

The FIC adopts an approach consisting of assessment and exchange with the aim of promoting a European vision of cybersecurity. The continuation of a single digital market and the regulatory proposal on the protection of personal data, the FIC is the key European cybersecurity event that gathers all players in the digital trust chain. To coordinate this approach, the FIC relies on: the trade show, to communicate, increase visibility, recruit, make new contacts & keep in touch with old ones - the forum, to exchange with experts, improve skills and share feedback and - the Observatory to continue exchanging the rest of the year, develop on themes covered and keep the network alive.

The 2017 edition of the FIC (www.forum-fic.com) is jointly organized by the Department of the National Gendarmerie, CEIS and EuraTechnologies, and co-financed by the Regional Council of Hauts-de-France.
