National Geographic Traveller Festival

The all-day live reader event will be packed with inspirational speakers, writers, photographers, travel experts and must-try workshops

The team behind the award-winning magazine has announced the launch of its inaugural National Geographic Traveller Festival, sponsored by Babbel. The all-day live reader event will be packed with inspirational speakers, writers, photographers, travel experts and must-try workshops – bringing the magazine to life.

Curated by the team at National Geographic Traveller (UK) magazine, the festival is the embodiment of the brand’s trailblazing spirit, global scope and vibrant visuals.

Pat Riddell, editor, said: “We’re very excited to be bringing the magazine to life at this one-day reader event with our ever-popular Travel Writing and Photography Masterclasses, our Travel Geeks panels and a wide variety of travel-related activities, classes and experiences. The National Geographic Traveller Festival is a don’t-miss event for anyone with a wide-eyed urge to see the world.”

Matthew Jackson, managing director and publisher, said: “This new live event will give you the opportunity to step into the pages of the magazine to meet the experts, whether they’re explorers, adventurers, writers or photographers, and also the people who inspire and create the content of the magazine.”

Festival-goers can pick from an eclectic and exciting menu, featuring photography and travel writing masterclasses, Babbel language lessons from the headline sponsor, dance and martial arts classes, cooking demonstrations, National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s popular Travel Geeks panels, and much more.
