Rhinegold in conjunction with Markson Pianos will be presenting world renowned pianist Melvyn Tan, live at Conway Hall, London on 28th February 2017.

Melvyn will be performing a 50 minute programme consisting of;

•Beethoven: Bagatelles, Op 126
•Czerny: Variations on a Theme by Rode
•Dove: Catching Fire

The concert will be performed on a rare Bosendorfer 280VC Vienna Concert Grand Piano. Simon Markson of Markson Pianos said of the piano “It’s full of subtle nuances and is capable of an enormous expressive range. Of course every manufacturer is striving for perfection and unique qualities, but this is about everything coming together in terms of craftsmanship. It’s undoubtedly one of the best pianos in the world.’

Melvyn Tan, acclaimed equally for his work on early and modern instruments, established his international reputation in the 1980s with pioneering performances on fortepiano and continues to cast fresh light on music conceived for the piano’s early and modern forms.

Rhinegold LIVE is a concert series which aims to offer a unique and informal take on the classical recital experience.
