A new IT system just released at Charities Trust promises to make giving to your chosen charity much easier, whilst gaining the maximum in tax benefits from the government. The web-based system allows payments to be made from payroll, by credit card or cheque and provides the contributor with the means to make donations using a charity ‘cheque book’, by standing order or online. Users can even set up their own ‘sponsor me’ web page to manage their fund raising online so that payments go directly into their charitable account.

Charities Trust has long been involved in payroll giving and currently manages the activity for over 100,000 staff in 800 companies, including the BBC and Royal Mail. The database system enhancements were developed by BroadSkill, an IT solutions company that offers the UK’s broadest and most cost effective technology provision.
