Pocket the Problem exhibition at City Hall

In the last couple of months, Clippykit, an award winning fashion accessories company and Make your Mark young enterprise organisation have been running a competition with girl’s schools across London. The aim was to customise the bags with a issue that was important to them but also to combine this with a business plan on how to promote their chosen issue. Fashion, young women and issues proved to be a thought provoking and inspiring combination. The results were spectacular and 160 teams entered, with over 650 girls getting involved with issues ranging from knife crime, forced marriage to social stereotyping (the bags are like Tracy Emin works of art). We have now been approached by schools to roll this competition out across the country as has proved such a success both with teachers and with girls. The winning school was Haverstock in Camden.
