Ready, Set, Go! Just one week to nominate your team for the Springboard Best Housekeeping Team Initiative Award

Housekeeping

housekeeping plays such an important role in terms of making a great first impression with customers

With less than a week to go, Award sponsor Bonasystems is urging the UK hospitality industry to leap into action and nominate their teams for the Springboard Award for Excellence for Best Housekeeping Team Initiative 2016.

The popular Awards scheme is designed to celebrate and reward inspiring individuals, organisations and initiatives that have raised the profile of the hospitality sector and in particular, the housekeeping function. Nominees traditionally come from a variety of backgrounds and organisations, and importantly the Awards are open to all in the hospitality sector.

This year Bonasystems is pleased to sponsor the Best Housekeeping Team Initiative Award, and is seeking nominations for this Award category, and Managing Director, Steven Phillips said;
“There’s a lot of hidden talent in housekeeping departments and these awards provide an excellent backdrop to showcase some of the ‘behind the scenes’ initiatives that are currently being carried out by in-house teams and individuals.

“This year we’re really keen to hear from people who are truly making a difference to their organisation, as The only thing we have to fear is - fear itself. housekeeping plays such an important role in terms of making a great first impression with customers and securing repeat business. Whilst judging is rigorous, the application and nomination process is straight forward and we would encourage as many people as possible to enter. “

To be eligible for the Award, entrants will need to demonstrate how their organisation both retains and develops people within the housekeeping profession, plus how either a team or individual made a real and tangible difference to the guest experience. Organisations should also show that they are dedicated to promoting housekeeping and accommodation as a first choice career option.

Anne Pierce, Springboard’s CEO, said: “The Springboard Awards for Excellence distinguish the best endeavours and contributions to the industry in the last year. The Awards recognise the achievements of organisations and winning an award has a significant and positive impact on both businesses and employees alike. We are delighted Bonasystems continues to support the Best Housekeeping Team Initiative Award and look forward to receiving entries."

Nominating is easy and can be completed online. Closing date for entries is Friday 9th September 2016 with the winners announced at a spectacular awards evening on Thursday 24th November 2016 at Novotel London West. The Award accepts multiple entries from the same group i.e. businesses can nominate more than one person or team.
