America has long since celebrated its cities and States with musicals like Oklahoma and through songs such as Chicago and New York, New York. But, other than London, the UK has kept its town and county lights' under a musical bushel. Until now!

“Tales of the Woo” has been created and composed specially for Worcestershire on the back of the recent announcement the city is to have a major new arts quarter on the site of the former Worcester Porcelain Works.

Plans are also afoot to create a new Fame Academy with the aim of making the county a major centre of excellence for the arts, outside London.

The musical showcases local talent and has been directed by, and stars, Worcester’s own Katie Love (BBC “So You Think you can Dance”).
