London, 11 November 2013 - The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI), a voluntary cross-sector initiative set up 2 years ago to improve recruitment practices for disabled job-seekers has announced an awards programme for 2014 with the backing of the new Minister for Disabled People, Mike Penning MP. The awards are being launched under the theme, ‘actions speak louder than words.’

With 14 separate categories in total, the 2014 programme includes an overall ‘Disability Confident’ award, which aims to recognise progress made by in-house recruiters or agencies since the Department for Work & Pensions high profile Disability Employment conference on 18 July.
