After a wait of only 34 years, the new album "Together" is here from the band, Tight Fit, who topped the charts with songs such as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Fantasy Island" in 1982. The album is released on Almighty Records (www.almightyrecords.com). The original line up have worked with four different, talented producers and club DJs on 10 tracks, to arrive at a fresh and uplifting sound, which will appeal to pop lovers of all ages.

The project to create a new album started following a 2010 remix of the band's hit single "Fantasy Island" by Almighty Records, which became a hit in dance bars and clubs and on the gay scene around the UK. Since then the band were asked to perform at 80s Festivals, Gay Prides and parties in the UK and Europe, including London Pride, as well as radio and TV appearances - which included playing live on Big Brother.

The album, "Together" includes newly recorded versions of all four of their previous singles, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Fantasy Island", "Secret Heart" and "I'm Undecided". Also there are five covers across five decades - "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now", "Summer Son", "1-2-3", "Back To Love" and "Never Ending Story" - plus one song written especially for them, "Rain". The producers, on the album, which includes a second part with eight DJ mixes of the tracks, are the Vauxhall Boys, James Hurr, Phenobar, Andy Haldane and Stereo Junkie.

About the band:

The original line up of three - Steve Grant, Julie Harris and Denise Waterman - came together in 1982 to perform the studio produced hit, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". With following singles "Fantasy Island", "Secret Heart" and "I'm Undecided" they toured extensively, winning fans around the UK and Europe in just a matter of months. The original lineup reformed in 2010 to address the requests they were receiving for performances and now sing live up and down the country as well as in Europe.

Since their chart hits in the early 1980s, the past 30 years have been busy for the band, including:

- Steve Grant returned to his roots in musical theatre, appearing in a number of musicals (such as Miss Saigon in the West End), before losing most of his sight which led to a focus on recording studio work instead.
- Julie Harris, who became a professionally qualified Chef, as well as a mum of three, has been in a number of successful bands such as 'Julie and the Gems' playing live to audiences everywhere and performing lead vocals with the 'Back To The Eighties' band.
- Denise Waterman (nee Gyngell), who became a mum of two during her marriage to Pete Waterman, had a band with her two brothers following Tight Fit. She has worked as a TV presenter and professional entertainer, as well as founding her own theatre-camp school based in Wimbledon.
