Tracy Edwards MBE, the pioneering yachtswoman who skippered the first all-female crew around the world in 1989, will be sharing her experiences and insightful advice with the female leaders of tomorrow at the Changing The Playing Field conference.

The women’s city event is being held by London’s leading diversity and inclusion consultancy Voice At The Table and is taking place on Friday 8 July 2016, from 8.30AM to 6.00PM at Hogan Lovells International LLP, 50 Holborn Viaduct, London, EC1A 2FG.

The exciting one-day conference will be opening up the conversation of the corporate playing field to professional women, delivering a positive and inspiring message of change through collaborative and friendly discussions, workshops and talks from the three female speakers, including Tracy Edwards.

Women and leadership go hand in hand as two of Tracy’s great passions in life. The world-renowned yachtswoman has challenged gender dynamics since she defied her critics and led the first all-female team around the world in the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1989. On top of this, she was also the first woman to be awarded the Yachtsman of the Year Trophy in the 34 year history of the award.

Speaking about the event, Tracy said, “The Changing The Playing Field conference will be a fantastic opportunity for young, professional, passionate women to actively discuss and exchange ideas about the corporate landscape and how women are making a difference in key leadership roles.

“Getting women together to talk about the professional issues they are passionate about is fantastic and Voice At The Table will no doubt put on an insightful and engaging day!”

“I am thrilled to be able to share my experiences and hope to provide plenty of inspiration to the leaders of tomorrow.”

Tracy is a well-respected female role model and following her epic adventures at sea she has continued to become a huge supporter for women by working with a number of girls’ rights and education charities, delivering many motivational speeches to women of all ages across the UK.

As well as working alongside organisations such as The Girls’ Network and UN Women, Tracy also directs much of her time and passion to her charity The Maiden Rescue.

Rina Goldenberg Lynch, founder and managing director of Voice At The Table said “We are very excited to have some amazing women speaking at the conference, including Tracy Edwards. It will be fantastic for delegates to hear about Tracy’s incredibly motivating stories, and understand how {{leadership isn’t always plain sailing!}}”

Also speaking at the conference is Dr Crawford and Dr Malina-Derben, both expert performance consultants with over 40 years combined experience.

About Voice At The Table and Rina Goldenberg Lynch

Voice At The Table is a diversity and inclusion consultancy with the core aim of providing companies and their female workforce with the tools to progress and contribute authentically and improving the representation of women at all levels.

Voice At The Table takes a two-pronged approach. Firstly, it aims to transform corporate culture in order to facilitate women’s particular talents, to uncover the potential to deliver a stronger business with more women in leadership, to change the model of leadership to a more collaborative style with emphasis on emotional intelligence for leaders and to promote an adaptable working environment for both women and men.

Secondly, Voice At The Table intends to unlock the full potential of women by building confidence, changing internal dialogue and challenging assumptions.

Similar topics that have featured in Voice At The Table’s Training Academy have included “The Mindset for Success”, “Become More Assertive”, “Get Better at Stress” and “Find Your Strengths for Career Success” all of which have had impressive feedback from attendees.

The consultancy has worked with a variety of clients including American Express Brighton, ING Bank London and Amsterdam and FTI Consulting. Event and Training delegates have come from Deloittes, Royal Mail and The Royal Bank of Canada.

The business was founded by Rina Goldenberg Lynch who is an Accredited Associate Executive Coach and a qualified ILM Level 5 trainer.

In recent years, Rina has been working on diversity and inclusion matters (D&I), including strategy development and initiatives. She has experience coaching and mentoring women across the board in corporate, not-for-profit and entrepreneurial sectors.
