Healthy food-to-go specialists pod release summer menu with adventurous theme…

6 June 2016, London: pod is used to standing out from the crowd and its exiting new summer menu additions, inspired by the flavours and tastes from around the world, will again thrill customers.

The sun is shining, the temperature is starting to rise and the summer months stretch in front of us – the perfect time for London’s most innovative healthy food-to-go group pod to reveal its summer specials.

With 22 shops in London and counting, pod continue to blossom in the capital thanks to their commitment to seasonal menus, innovative recipes and dedication to on-site food preparation since 2005.

pod’s summer adventure will take its customers around the globe in a culinary tour that is filled with fresh food, completely new creations and taste sensations from its ever imaginative development team.

So what’s new on the pod summer menu?

How about a foodie favourite breakfast of avocado and feta on toast with a fresh chilli kick? Or perhaps a Summer Glow Mango porridge to fuel up the Caribbean way?

As a bit of healthy fun, they have bought a (non-alcoholic) Pina Colada to their blended-to-order Blitz range. Handmade with fresh pineapple, spinach, coconut, spinach and orange, there’s no need for added sugar.

pods’ power ingredients are scattered through their healthy snacks with a Matcha yoghurt made with quinoa and pistachio and a refreshing Strawberry yoghurt topped with micro basil.

The new Mediterranean tomato, nut-free pesto and mozzarella salad hero’s healthy fats with a grassy olive oil dressing. Served with or without chicken.

Lunchtimes are always an adventure at pod, so its Balinese chicken salad or wrap ticks more than a few boxes. Crying out Indonesia, they’re made with chicken, Balinese dressing, mayo, coconut, coriander, peas, beetroot, seeds and cabbage – fragrant, and both sweet and spicy. It’s superfood heaven with a little bit of everything combined – and both less than 400 calories.

Famous for their exotic hot pods, the new Indian Pasanda, with or without chicken is the perfectly spiced hero of the summer menu; a dish packed with authentic India, without sending you packing!

One of its new baguettes might tempt you with the Vietnamese/French fusion that is the Banh mi pulled pork - or try the mozzarella, pesto, avocado and sun-blush tomato version – both served on superseed baguettes and packed with goodness and flavour.

pod’s chefs source only the finest ingredients for their in house developed recipes, taking their bi-weekly chef special’s to an even higher level – check the Brazilian Xin Xim chicken stew, Piccalilli pulled pork and the Sri Lankan chicken, each served on three grain rice and topped with fresh herbs and served with a delicious side salad. Refreshing yet complex in flavour – you’ll know what pod mean when you are finishing the last mouthful of these taste adventures.

And don’t get pod started on the first up chef special Cape Malay chicken curry! The South African gluten-free curry combines sweet and savoury flavours using apricots and a tangy tomato sauce – delicious.

This is just a taste of pod’s new menu and with so many new additions to an already exhaustive list, why not try a different lunch every day as you circumnavigate the globe on a tastebud adventure that keeps energetic Londoners coming back for more.

pod only make tasty, intelligent food that reflect the people who eat it – ambitious, health conscious and smart.

pod have built a reputation that it is rightly proud of because its sole aim is to keep our customers at their peak via quick access to ‘kick-start-your metabolism’ breakfasts, delicious light, adventurous lunches along with fresh immune-boosting drinks.

About pod
pod was founded in 2005 with the vision of helping people to enjoy healthier lives. It became pod’s mission to serve freshly made, delicious, nutritious breakfast and lunch to Londoners on the run.

Working with the seasons and with advice from qualified nutrition experts, each dish helps to support a healthier way to eat without compromising on taste and flavour.

From being one of the first food-to-go brands to deliver take away porridge back in 2005, and finding a way to serve freshly scrambled ‘takeaway’ eggs back in 2006, pod has pioneered food development, translating food trends and bringing them to thousands of hungry Londoners ever since.
