ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, announces its new line of widescreen, Pro8 Series of projectors for installation solutions. The Pro8520WL (WXGA), Pro8530HDL (1080p) and Pro8800WUL (WUXGA) projectors deliver flexibility for various installation designs and extensive connectivity options, making them ideal for large ambient light environments like sizable conference rooms and big classrooms.

With 5,200 lumens of brightness, the ViewSonic Pro8 series projectors come with the company’s proprietary SuperColor™ and SonicExpert™ technologies for advanced colour and sound reproduction & enhancement. The Pro8 series all feature vertical lens shift, extensive 1.6x zoom, a sealed engine, and horizontal/vertical keystone correction with 4-corner adjustment. They also come with PortAll™, an enclosed HDMI-MHL connection compartment that supports streaming media from wireless HDMI dongles / MHL connectors and also fits HDBaseT set modules like the brand new HB10B transmitter & receiver from ViewSonic.

“ViewSonic’s new Pro8 series of projectors are perfect for settings and applications where ambient light is a concern,” said Joss Kaldenberg, Business Line Manager for projectors at ViewSonic Europe. “We designed the Pro8520WL, Pro8530HDL and Pro8800WUL to be versatile in a number of installations, making it flexible for a variety of solutions. We also incorporated our proprietary technologies, such as SuperColor and SonicExpert to ensure that the true-to-life colour reproduction and enhanced sound are prominent throughout our line-up.”

Featuring a truly unique “Flex-In” (Flexible Installation) design, the Pro8 series have been specifically crafted with installers in mind. Simple-yet-effective traits include a tool-free bilateral opening top cover, 4-in-1 power button (projector IR receiver, remote source IR receiver, dongle usage indicator, power button), centered lens, power cable locking system and a rear cable cover to hide unsightly wires.

All three Pro8 series projectors come with a wide range of connectors including four HDMI inputs (one of which is HDMI/MHL), VGA, S-Video, RCA, RS232, RJ45, built-in USB-A and micro-USB power for accessories. ViewSonic’s Pro8520WL is a native WXGA projector with a 1.12-1.8 throw ratio, whilst the Pro8530HDL (native 1080p) and Pro8800WUL (native WUXGA) both boast a 1.07-1.71 throw ratio.
