ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, announces its collaboration with Intel, which will launch with ViewSonic’s Intel® SDM embedded Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) and Digital Signage lines at ISE 2017.

ISE 2017 is being held at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands from Feb. 7-10, 2017.

“The ongoing collaboration between ViewSonic and Intel has resulted in the development of great products for our users.”, said Brian Wei, Director of Commercial Displays & Solutions, ViewSonic Europe. “As we move forward, it is with great pleasure that we announce the inclusion of Intel® Smart Display Module (Intel® SDM) into our Interactive Flat Panels and Digital Signage lines. Intel® SDM is a new and effective standard in display computing with optimized processing capabilities that offer our users the smallest, most power-efficient computing engine for IFPs, corporate and retail digital signage displays to date.”

ViewSonic’s Interactive Displays are a popular solution in both the corporate and education sectors with features including One Touch Google Drive access and the ability to facilitate video calls, as well as popular collaborative apps including Slack and Trello. Smart Signage is ViewSonic’s newest signage solution for the retail sector which has gained popularity for use in hotel, restaurant, and café applications. The company is set to unveil the newest addition to its Digital Signage catalogue at ISE 2017.

“When we design specifications for the next generation of integrated media players, we are laser-focused on achieving three things: minimal space, maximum performance, and future-proofing the solution. The Intel® Smart Display Module supports the sleekest integrated designs by omitting the housing, with the cost-effective implementation and management of integrated Intel® processor-based media players,” said Jose Avalos, Director Visual Retail, Internet of Things, Intel Corporation.

Intel® SDM is the company’s next generation specification to address the need for media player integrated displays. Intel® SDM compresses the module down into a design approximately half the size of other integrated display modules. This smaller design offers users portability and flexibility when transferring the module across ViewSonic displays and eliminates the need for connection to an external computer.

ViewSonic’s display product lines embedded with Intel® SDM will offer users a more power-efficient display computing method that is compatible across various display lines. With the launch of our collaboration with Intel® SDM at ISE 2017, ViewSonic users will be able to leverage Intel’s new industry standard Intel® SDM for more effective display management in both corporate and retail applications.
