Schréder wins Highways England award for delivering cost saving and value

Schréder, the global leader in LED lighting solutions, has won a Highways England award for supplier recognition. The awards were presented at a ceremony on 24th February at Institute of Engineering & Technology in Birmingham.

Schréder won the prestigious managing down cost/improving value award, in partnership with leading highway engineering provider A-one+. {{The award win recognises the outstanding efficiencies and cost savings of Schreder’s Sculp LED Gantry lighting}}, which combines bright and effective light efficiency with the cost saving associated with LED technology.

The Sculp range of luminaires provide highly effective illumination of highway road signs alongside low maintenance long life durability. Schréder’s Sculp LED lighting solutions have been deployed extensively across the M18, M180 and M621 motorways in Yorkshire and Humberside, and offer a considerable cost reduction compared to traditional HID lighting.

Adam Rice, Marketing Manager, Schréder comments: “Delivering effective lighting solutions that also reduce energy cost requires a balance of efficiency and effectiveness, the Sculp LED Gantry lighting provides an ideal combination of both. It is particularly pleasing to receive an award from a Government body such as Highways England, particularly for reducing the pressure on the public purse.

“LED technology offers a level of flexibility reliability and efficiency previously unavailable. It is simple to deploy and virtually maintenance free – making it ideal for use in a highway environment where disruption caused by maintenance needs to be minimised.”
