Zen Internet announces Peter Duffy Ltd contract win

Zen Internet will provide Peter Duffy Ltd, a civil engineering and utility services company based in Wakefield, with a cloud and Wide Area Network (WAN) solution.

The solution will see much of Peter Duffy Ltd’s logistical overhead move to Zen’s public cloud service, Zen Cloud. Systems administering work such as CAD, accounting, office and estimating will be transferred over to Zen’s cloud, where a fully managed service will be provided. This will enable Peter Duffy’s IT team to focus on improving service in other areas.

Zen’s business development manager Enzo Romano says, “They will be able to focus more on value added initiatives, rather than day-to-day management of their systems”, adding that “{{we are able to offer significant increases in performance, security and resilience}}, all supported by a single point of contact.”

In a further agreement with Peter Duffy Ltd Zen have also been commissioned to design and implement a new WAN for the company, providing site-to-site connectivity for their three offices in Wakefield, Leeds and South Wales.

After being unhappy with the service received from a previous supplier, Peter Duffy Ltd made it clear that they were looking for a trusted partner who would provide the help and support they needed.

Speaking of their relationship with Zen, IT administrator Jonathan Rhodes explains, “From the first to the final proposal, the Zen team were helpful in providing any information that we requested, and answering any questions we had … We looked at a number of suppliers [but Zen’s] approach was undertaken professionally. It was clear to see how our business would benefit from the proposed solution, now and in the coming years.”

Peter Duffy Ltd has a £35m annual turnover, employing over 200 staff across a number of locations.
