Zen wins ISPA best wholesale award

Judges praised Zen’s wholesale full fibre (FTTP) network, which they said was challenging the dominance of the largest providers

Zen Internet has been named Best Wholesale ISP at the 2017 Internet Service Provider Association (ISPA) awards, fighting off stiff competition from the likes of TalkTalk Business and Entanet International.

Dave Hudson, Zen’s managing director for Wholesale, collected the award at a glittering ceremony at the

Café de Paris in London. Judges praised Zen’s wholesale full fibre (FTTP) network, which they said was challenging the dominance of the largest providers, and its two-way engagement with partners.

The judging panel, which included Andrew Ferguson, editor of thinkbroadband.com, and Prof. Michael Rotert, a founding member of the Internet Society, also picked out the long tenure of Zen staff. For example, staff in Zen’s technical support team boasts an average length of service of more than six years.

Other judging criteria included network quality and infrastructure reach, reliability and performance for resellers, ease of becoming a partner and customer satisfaction.

Dave Hudson said: “This award is testament to the dedication of all Zen’s staff, and to the hard work we’ve put in over the last two or three years to create a truly differentiated wholesale connectivity offer.”

“The investment we have made means partners connect to the largest independent network in the UK, and one of the most advanced in Europe. They also tap into a huge pool of accumulated experience in our excellent support staff, and service that we think is second is none.”
