Allows Voice to Be Integrated with Fast Internet Services on
Next-Generation Access Networks

Natural MicroSystems (NASDAQ: NMSS), the technology leader enabling a new
era of communications, today announced that Tdsoft Ltd. of Herzlia, Israel
is integrating NMS' high-capacity ASIC-based technology into its VoNGATE
voice access gateway. Tdsoft, a leading developer of voice over
next-generation access solutions (VoNGA), has selected NMS' broadband
Voice over Packet ASIC technology to satisfy its requirements for
converged voice and data services over DSL. Tdsoft's VoNGATE solution will
allow service providers to offer profitable VoDSL services together with
broadband Internet access-using a single pair of copper wires.

Tdsoft's VoNGATE product is an access gateway that allows service
providers to add substantial revenues from VoDSL offerings for small and
medium enterprises, and for residential office customers. VoDSL is a prime
value-added application that is expected to contribute to the skyrocketing
use of digital subscriber line (DSL) services. Research from Cahners
In-Stat Group forecasts a strong rise in DSL adoption, with new DSL
subscribers to exceed 23 million worldwide by 2004.

VoNGATE is fully compatible with the European Telecommunications Standards
Institute's (ETSI) V5.2 network interface standard, which meets the
requirements of established and emerging communications service providers
preparing to launch VoDSL in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and

"Tdsoft developed VoNGATE for service providers seeking to capture revenue

deliver a high quality VoDSL solution that meets our challenging
scalability and time-to-market objectives. The cooperation with NMS will
maximize the speedy deployment, quality and flexibility of bundled voice
services that span circuit and packet networks, all at the most
competitive cost."

Said Michel Laurence, vice president and general manager, New Network
Access, for Natural MicroSystems, "NMS' network access platforms enable
our customers to accelerate solution delivery in the most challenging and
the most promising segments of the next-generation network. Our new
