Syntegra, the consulting and systems integration business of BT, has formed a partnership with iDEFENSE, the international computer security intelligence specialists.

Under the agreement, Syntegra’s customers will be offered direct access to iDEFENSE’s full range of online intelligence and report services that give immediate and detailed information about the latest viruses, hacking tools and known security breaches.

The Syntegra Global Alert Service will be available to Syntegra’s Enterprise Security Practice customers via the company’s web site at The site will provide a one click link to the 24x7 information assurance information provided by iDEFENSE’s global intelligence network.

"Through our partnership with iDEFENSE we will be able to offer our customers a real insight into the latest threats anywhere in the world as soon as they are discovered," said Bill Rann, Syntegra’s head of Enterprise Security.
