Leverages Knowledge, Experience to Deliver Industry's Only Customised Solutions for Provisioning and Managing High-Speed Networks

Universal Access Inc. (NASDAQ: UAXS), a leading provider of network infrastructure services, today unveiled UniversalNETSM, a family of first-to-market, customised solutions designed to address the worldwide problem of skyrocketing times to provision high-speed network connections, which costs service providers billions of dollars in lost revenues yearly.

UniversalNET utilises Universal Access' industry-leading products and services to deliver complete, tailored solutions for each of the company's three target customer groups - telecommunications service providers (TSPs), Internet service providers (ISPs) and application service providers (ASPs). The three solutions are being introduced as UniversalNET TSP Advantage, UniversalNET ISP Advantage and UniversalNET ASP Advantage.

UniversalNET TSP Advantage, ISP Advantage, and ASP Advantage are customised solutions suites that address the specific needs of these types of service providers. These solutions allow service providers to more efficiently manage the functions of their network build-out and network expansion, incorporating off-net procurement, management and operations of high capacity private line circuits from multiple vendors. In addition, UniversalNET solutions offer the physical site infrastructure to connect networking equipment to large amounts of capacity across diverse locations using multiple carrier networks.

The UIX consists of a proprietary database containing capacity, availability, physical location and pricing information from over 70 transport suppliers and more than 150,000 physical sites. Universal Access' UTX facilities provide interconnection points between multiple network service providers and local and long distance transport suppliers. The information held in the UIX databases complements the UTX facilities and allows Universal Access to provision circuits more effectively and efficiently - enabling its clients a faster turn-up of services.
