IMERGE COMPLETES £5.3 MILLION FUNDING ROUND Tuesday 16 January 2001 PDF Print Imerge Ltd, the Cambridge-based company that is at the forefront of developing Internet-enabled hard disk-based consumer electronics audio- visual products, has now completed a second round of funding totalling £5.3 million. The round has been co-ordinated by far blue, the technology investment and management group, and comprises £2 million from Friends Ivory Sime Private Equity, £750,000 from Yorkshire Fund Managers, £500,000 from Aberdeen Asset Managers, $1 million from JVB Private Equity, led by Kevin Shepherd, £250,00 from Emblem Technology Partners, £500,000 from far blue and £600,000 from Generics Group. The funding will support the launch of products based on Imerge's XiVA media appliance software, including SoundServer, and a Home Media Server.
