Computer printer specialist’s show offer at World’s largest education exhibition is a hit with key vertical market

Tally, the computer printer specialist, has further consolidated its position as a leading supplier to the education sector following a highly successful show at BETT 2001, London. The event is the World’s leading exhibition for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Education, and proved a perfect platform for Tally to demonstrate the benefits of its T8004 colour laser printer to key and potential customers in what is often a rigorous and production-intensive user environment.

Tally’s presence at BETT 2001 was supported by its Strategic Business Partner, Integrex, a leading supplier of IT products and services, including printers and peripherals, desktop PCs and digital imaging equipment. Show attendees, including school technology buyers, LEAs and IT managers, were able to take advantage of a T8004 special show price of £995.00, including a complete set of consumables, free installation and comprehensive after-sales service. Ideal for workgroup printing, the T8004 offers both mono and colour printing, diverse media handling and a monthly workload of up to 20,000 pages - features not normally associated with the offered price.

"BETT was and is always a great success for Integrex and Tally," said Mark Bayliss, Senior Product Manager for Printers and Peripherals, Integrex. "Popular demand at BETT 2001 meant that we sold more T8004s than any other product. It is not uncommon for us to receive requests for Tally printers all year round because of the coverage we receive at the show, and our experience enables us to stand apart from other suppliers by offering a good service and knowledge - perfect for astute buyers in the education market."

Commenting on the significance of the show, Robin Edwardes, MD of Tally, said, "Vertical market awareness is vital to Tally’s success in the competitive printer marketplace and BETT provides fertile ground for our printers to be showcased to this important audience. The targeted nature of BETT provides us with a flourishing customer base, year on year. Tally’s position as a World-class printer specialist continues to be attributable in part to our attendance at such events."
