Citrix Systems, Inc. today announced internal changes aimed at providing
customers and channel partners with a single organisational point of
contact
by uniting the sales and services functions under John Burris, previously
senior vice president of Worldwide Customer Services. In connection with
this move, Citrix is increasing its focus on business development by
consolidating the partnership and alliances, new-business opportunities
and
iBusiness groups into an integrated organisation that will be managed by
David Jones, formerly senior vice president of Worldwide Sales.

As the new senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Services, Burris
brings a nearly 20-year track record of sales on three continents with
companies including Lucent and AT&T. Burris joined Citrix in 1999 and was
responsible for rapidly developing the company's Services organisation
capabilities. In his new role as senior vice president of Corporate
Development, Jones will build on his worldwide experience in similar roles
at Apple Computer and Adobe. His organisation will focus on developing new
market segments and growing Citrix' relationships with strategic partners.
Jones will continue to serve as acting vice president of the Europe/Middle
East/Africa region until that position is filled.
"Citrix is at a point in its history where shifting to these more unified
and focused organisations makes perfect sense as we work through the next
phase in the company's growth," said Mark Templeton, Citrix president.
"Especially with over 40 percent of our business now coming from outside
the
United States, having two strong managers with just the right
international
experience in both meeting customer needs and leading business development
efforts will be a big plus for us in creating greater synergy and a
single,
focused direction with partners and customers."
