Hellraiser author to contribute two stories to celebrated on-line comic library

Following contributions by high-profile comic book talent including Pat Mills, Kevin O'Neill and Simon Bisley, Clive Barker is the latest big name to be featured in the on-line story-store Cool Beans World. Already home to original work from some of the comic industry's most talented writers and artists, Cool Beans World is now proud to announce that it will be printing Barker's graphic novel 'The Yattering and Jack' on the Web for the first time.

Written by Barker, and lavishly painted by award-winning illustrator John Bolton, 'The Yattering and Jack' tells of a demon's attempts to capture the soul of a middle-aged pickle importer from London. It's the first of two planned collaborations between Barker, Bolton and Cool Beans World, a major work fantasy-fiction followed by the painted story "In the Hills, the Cities". Clive Barker

Born in 1952 in Liverpool, now a native of Beverly Hills, Clive Barker's extraordinary stories have captivated millions of readers and filmgoers. With his short stories in the books of blood and such best selling novels as Weaveworld, Cabal, The Damnation Game, The Great Secret Show and Imajica; in his spectacular films Hellraiser, Hellbound and Nightbreed; and through the graphic novel adaptations of his stories and ideas in Tapping the Vein, Son Of Celluloid, Revelations, Hellraiser, and Nightbreed, Barker has utilised all aspects of popular culture to create an indelible and unique vision of modern horror and fantasy.

John Bolton

Bolton began working with comics in the late 70's and made his initial impact on the U.S. market in 1980. He has since continued to work for mainly for American publishers, winning several awards, and has also worked for a number of movies. Comics he has illustrated include 'Marada' and 'Black Dragon' with Christopher (X-Men) Claremont, 'Someplace Strange' with Ann Nocenti, 'The Books of Magic' with Neil (Sandman) Gaiman, and many short stories including adaptations of Barker's work in 'Tapping the Vein'.
