ufulfil.com the e-fulfilment arm of leading distribution and logistics
specialist Unipart, has signed a major set of agreements with three new
technology partners IBM, Manugistics, and Industri-Matematik(IMI). The new
relationships will enable ufulfil.com to offer a complete range of
e-fulfillment services to international businesses and will bring new
capabilities to ufulfil.com's extensive e-fulfillment offering.

ufulfil.com was formed to apply Unipart's vast experience in the areas of
logistics, distribution fulfillment and supplier relationship management
to
e-commerce. It provides one of the most complete ranges of e-commerce
services from the design and development of transactional websites through
customer relationship management and supply chain management to the
delivery of product to the end customer at a time and place that suits
their needs.

IBM will provide ufulfil.com with the most up to date software solutions
to
host e-commerce sites on the web environment. Based on IBM's
industry-leading WebSphere Commerce Suite e-platform, this open
standards-based system will allow ufulfil.com to rapidly deploy and
personalise new commerce services which can be scaled to meet any
organisations need to grow their services as demand from customers
increases.

In addition, IBM Global Services, the world's largest information
technology services provider, will provide ufulfil.com with additional
resources to co-establish a centre of excellence for planned ufulfil.com
business areas. This showcase will act as a business development, sales
and
marketing vehicle and will create ufilfil.com's solutions base for other
clients. IBM Global Services will also help staff and create
ufulfil.com's solutions factory - a team of individuals with the resources
to design, build and implement ufulfil.com client solutions. This team
will
be based at either Unipart, IBM or client sites, and will develop and
manage generic solutions for individual market sectors.

"IBM is delighted to be teaming with ufulfil.com in such a rapidly
changing
industry," said David Stokes, VP Sales, IBM WebSphere Northern Europe.
"By
taking WebSphere as one of the key components for the new services,
ufulfil.com are treading a proven path towards future expansion.
Together,
we will continue to innovate and bring new levels of efficiency and cost
savings to the market."

ufulfil.com's relationship with Manugistics, one of the world's leading
providers of collaborative planning and network management tools, will
provide both software and resources. ufulfil.com will use these to enhance
the visibility of customer orders and events within the developing supply
networks which will allow customers to guarantee lead times and manage
customer orders more proactively. The greater visibility of events in the
supply chain will also enable ufulfil.com and its trading partners to
increase the effectiveness of the supply chain by showing up any
inefficiencies so that they can be removed.

Commenting on the announcement, Greg Owens, Chairman Designate and Chief
Executive Officer of Manugistics said:

"The range and depth of this new collaboration promises to link
ufulfil.com's knowledge and operational experience in logistics with
Manugistics' deep expertise in network planning and collaborative
execution
to produce an attractive solution for any business implementing a
web-based
trading model."

"The strength of the agreements announced today, is built around each
organisation bringing together existing working relationships and products
and then using this knowledge to establish the ufulfil.com proposition as
one with real operational capability built upon Unipart's clear expertise
in multi tier supply chain solutions"

The agreement with Industri-Matematik, a leading supplier of global
fulfilment and customer service solutions for e-business, will also
provide
both software and resources to ufulfil.com. Industri-Matematik will
provide
its VIVALDITM product which supports operations in sales order processing,
warehousing and customer relationship management (CRM). The VIVALDITM
product together with Industri-Matematik's resources will enable
ufulfil.com to develop a rapid start up software package for customers
entering the e-commerce market that can be developed in stages to more
sophisticated levels of functionality as the customer requires. At its
most
sophisticated the software will offer complete visibility of customer
orders within the supply chain with advanced functions that will
facilitate
the proactive management of customer orders through the supply chain in
the
event of any changes in circumstances to that order.

According to John Geraci, chief operating officer of Industri-Matematik
International Corp:

"Fast efficient fulfilment services drive competitive advantage in
e-business. By leveraging the collaborative logistics capabilities of
VIVALDI, ufulfil.com's initiative will enable companies to coordinate
their
supply chain operations across trading communities to satisfy customer
demand, quickly and reliably."
