jobpilot, one of Europe’s leading online recruitment companies, announces today that its revenues for the 12 months ended December 31, 2000 amounted to Euro 33.5 million, an increase of 232% over Euro 10.1 million in 1999. Group net loss was Euro 28.3 million compared with Euro 5.4 million in 1999. For the fourth consecutive year operations were profitable in Germany.

jobpilot has the largest established user group of any European player and has maintained its clear market leader position (based on revenues) in Germany, the largest and most attractive market in Europe, while successfully rolling out its business model across Europe. With the acquisition of Virtual Village during the fourth quarter of 2000, jobpilot positioned itself to "own" the recruiters’ desktop with its new recruitment workflow solution.

Commenting on the strong financial performance, Dr. Roland Metzger, CEO of jobpilot, said: "2000 represented a milestone in company history as we completed the build-up of our European career network. Our long-term prospects for success in the online recruitment market are excellent. With our strong product portfolio and new products and services, including our recruitment workflow solution, we are well positioned to continue to lead the online recruitment market in Europe."

Rebecca Polley, CFO of jobpilot, added: "We are very pleased that we were able to triple revenues in 2000 yet again given the competitive market environment. In 2001 our focus is to steer the group to profitability and our cash position of Euro 35 million will provide sufficient funding to reach that goal."
