Moves Group, the specialist distribution and moving services company hammered out the competition to be awarded the high-profile contract to manage the delivery of the fixed memorabilia items from the QXL Wembley online auctions.

The contract required a reliable and experienced company to ensure the delivery of the larger pieces of memorabilia from Wembley Stadium’s 77 year history which were successfully auctioned off by, Europe’s leading online auctioneer.

Some of the items delivered by the UK’s top ten removals company include leather seats from the banqueting suite, a bin from the Royal box, the press benches from the famous commentary office and David Beckham’s favourite bath! In tandem with this, the Moves Group is already playing host to many tonnes of goods in its North London warehouse complex, which will then be delivered by its nationwide fleet of 170 vehicles.

"Almost four decades of experience and the company’s award winning delivery service were the main factors in our decision to select the Moves Group to manage this aspect of the Wembley auctions," said Chris Kan, Wembley project manager, "It was paramount for us that the organisation we chose would provide an extension of our excellent fulfilment record and we feel the Moves Group does just that."

"We are delighted to have won such a high-profile contract and have already delivered a wide selection of items across the UK", said Ian Kriss, business development manager, Moves Group. "Wembley’s diverse history means that there are many items of challenging shapes and sizes stored in the stadium.
