Reporting to Mike Bezzant, vice president of Cadcentre's international sales division, Piene will be responsible for developing business activities for the company throughout Scandinavia. Piene joins Cadcentre from Equant, where he held a held the position of program director outsourcing Nordic. Prior to his employment with Equant, he held a number of roles within the Anglo-Norwegian engineering and construction group Kvaerner. From 1996 to 1999 Piene was vice president of Kvaerner Group IT, with responsibility for Kvaerner strategies and policies for IT and group-wide data communication services. His background is within the oil and gas engineering arm of Kvaerner, where his responsibilities have ranged from senior IT positions in the corporate organisation to IT management positions on several key offshore projects.
